The Sock 'Em, Bust 'Em Board Because that's our custom

The security is pretty loose, though

That’s the school that gave to you Eu, Stedman Bailey, Ivan McCartney and, before all of them, Josh Taylor. At least one more player is on his way in the 2012 recruiting class and who knows how many more will follow?

I took a personal tour Thursday all by myself. How?

The Patriots have been really good the past several years with a few deep runs in the state playoffs and one that went all the way.

That was McCartney’s team. Eu and Stedman went to the finals the year before, thanks to three comeback wins in the playoffs.

My perception was not the reality. I’ve seen some Texas high school stadiums and they’re ridiculous. I’m told Florida high school football is just as good and I’m told it’s treated all the same, and that may be true, but the word that came to mind at Miramar was “modest.”

Not too flashy without the chalk and the logos, but very nice grass.

Check out these bleachers. Max capacity is probably a few thousand, but this place has to be hopping — and absolutely stuffed — for big games and playoff games.

And you know there’d be plenty of press … but that’s going to be a tight fit. Back in the day, I walked the sidelines.

It’s a little more impressive on the field. It feels pretty tight, actually. This picture doesn’t really do it justice.

I happen to think when it’s dark and the lights are on and the fans are getting a little crazy before kickoff, this would be a pretty cool path to take to the field.

Pictures can be limited, so take a video tour:

Don’t get me wrong. I said “modest,” but that’s me. All in all, Miramar is a pretty nice school.

I can’t speak for the interior, but the outside was quite appealing. Twas the sort of place you could see yourself sitting outside of whilst eating a sandwich.

If you were to go inside, you’d see this.

Check out the crest!

Obviously, I didn’t get the full tour. I’d go back, though. If you’re ever in the area, the experience is a bargain!
