The Sock 'Em, Bust 'Em Board Because that's our custom

That’s a lot of handoffs

This is Leddie Brown, and he’s one of West Virginia’s top running back targets for the 2018 recruiting class. But try and follow me here for a classic recruiting tale.

The best player in Delaware was once a freshman in Maryland at a private school that no longer exists, and it was there where Louisville’s disgraced offensive coordinator scouted a former USC commit and spotted Brown and offered him a scholarship to begin a relationship that was later continued by Florida’s running backs coach and is now curated by Arizona’s erstwhile receivers coach.

In fewer words, WVU has done a lot of work with Brown, and he appreciates that.

That relationship with the entire staff has resulted in numerous visits to campus, including both Junior Days. In fact, Brown has visited Morgantown so many times that he’s lost count, and there’s not much he hasn’t seen. That doesn’t mean these visits aren’t continuing to help WVU’s cause, though.

“[The most recent visit] was the same, usual stuff. Not really [anything new] for me,” said the 6-foot, 210-pounder. “I talked to mostly all the coaches for a good amount of time, though. That made it probably the best time I’ve ever had at West Virginia.”
