The Sock 'Em, Bust 'Em Board Because that's our custom

Add another name to the list of (a) players injured and otherwise missing in action at spring football at West Virginia and (b) ACL injuries.

The Mountaineers, who have two players still working their way back from ACL tears last year, just lost their backup center for the season. Fortunately for WVU, the offense seems confident in Tyler Orlosky’s presumed successor, and he’s one of, say, three spring surprises so far.

But the most noticeable and substantial absence? Law school hill!

Construction on the west side of Milan Puskar Stadium is underway to complete the renovations that began last year with expansion on the east side. The project means law school hill, the fabled slope adjacent to the ongoing work players are made to ascend as part of offseason conditioning, is temporarily out of commission.

“Thank God,” senior offensive guard Kyle Bosch said. “Hopefully that construction lasts to September.”
