Gonzaga’s Mark Few and West Virginia’s Bob Huggins are friends. Exactly why? We’re not sure. “He’s actually fun to be with,” Huggins said. “He doesn’t look like that, but he’s actually a lot of fun to be with.”

At the 2012 Final Four, Huggins was interviewing coaches for his show and was with another friend, South Carolina coach Frank Martin. They spotted Few looking “like somebody killed his dog,” Huggins said. He and Martin insisted Few join them on the show.

“I’m just trying to cheer him up, you know? Tried to help him,” Huggins said. “He was very happy at the end, because he got to put some digs in against me on my own show.”

The remaining details of their friendship are up for debate.

“He knows I like to fish, and he, theoretically, supposedly, likes to fish,” Few said. “I’ve never seen it or seen any pictures or anything. But he talks about it. I think he goes up to the lake and kind of does other things sitting in the boat.”
