Incoming!

This is not a math problem, I promise, but West Virginia does indeed have four seniors on its roster and five players signed to the incoming recruiting class. Someone is going to be displaced from one of these two groups. That’s a problem I can’t solve, so I’ll save the discussion for when it happens.

But about those recruits …

I think some fans around here are familiar with Brandon Knapper, who was a star in Kanawha Valley and is now at Hargrave Military Academy.

Derek Culver is the most-celebrated player, and he has , for different reasons, been in the news.

Let’s shift the the ones we’re still getting to know. Well, sort of.

Wesley Harris was injured when he signed with the Mountaineers. He’s not playing at Lawson State. He’s not even listed on the roster, but his coach did say he wasn’t going to waste a year of Harris’ eligibility on a fraction of a season. He’s a three-for-three now.

D’Angelo Hunter is in his second season with Navarro College, and though he’s averaging 15.1 points per game, let’s hope the reported/recorded shooting numbers aren’t accurate.

The one to watch is Teddy Allen, who’s probably going to be named the player of the year in Nebraska. I think I’ve shared this, but when he committed, a college coach I’ve come to know texted me. “Teddy Allen is a man.” Hard to argue with these stats, and that was before he put up 40 points Tuesday night in a playoff game. The other team scored 39.
