“… and in one instance constituted retaliation against a complainant for reporting sexual assault.”
That’s tombstone stuff for the people involved. Baylor had no choice.
All in all, what we’ve learned is about as bad as it gets, and that’s why Baylor has made so many changes today. I haven’t read all of it, but it’s apparent from the beginning that Pepper Hamilton was seemingly offended by what it discovered and that Baylor would not stand for the findings.
“We were horrified by the extent of these acts of sexual violence on our campus. This investigation revealed the University’s mishandling of reports in what should have been a supportive, responsive and caring environment for students,” said Richard Willis, chair of the Baylor Board of Regents. “The depth to which these acts occurred shocked and outraged us. Our students and their families deserve more, and we have committed our full attention to improving our processes, establishing accountability and ensuring appropriate actions are taken to support former, current and future students.”
And now, the fallout:
Baylor release: Ken Starr out as president, effective May 31. Art Briles to be terminated. Ian McCaw on probation. pic.twitter.com/ZI2K7V02AD

Read the last one: Baylor didn’t have a compliance officer. And it reads as though Briles will be fired with cause — suspension preceding termination “according to contractual procedures — and it sure sounds like Ian McCaw is playing out the back nine and that he’ll be done when his contract ends.
