I’ll save you the click that will count against your cache of free clicks, but Brian Mitchell, late of ECU, and Tony Gibson, erstwhile WVU assistant who has since been at Michigan, Pitt and Arizona, will be on campus as soon as Thursday.

Now, all of that said, don’t presume this is either a done deal (HR!) or that one steps into one vacancy and the other steps into the other vacancy. My hunch is we’ll see some redistricting, but clearly these would be defensive additions.

I’m curious: Are you offended by the possible return of Tony Gibson? That seems to be bothering a lot of people. Are you concerned about Dana Holgorsen getting reacquainted with someone else he knows from his past? That seems to be a common criticism of his hiring practices. Are you willing to give him and to give this time or is this another straw for the camel?

Also, sorry about yesterday’s inactivity. I had another post scheduled to run, but I did all of that with in ORD my phone and the WordPress app … well, it sucks.  I’ll roll those out today and move the Thursday chat to today, as well. Let’s aim for 1 p.m. EST, OK?
