WVU to take aim at Omar Clayton’s undetermined?

UNLV  published its injury report Tuesday and, man, is it lengthy. Twenty-five players and projections, to be exact. Then again, “exact” isn’t an entirely applicable word here.

The Rebels have an equipped quarterback who the WVU defenders respect. Coach Bill Stewart remarked Tuesday Clayton showed ” a lot of grit, a lot of courage and showed me this guy’s got it” during one play against Nevada.

Bill Stewart spent the first part of the week studying film of UNLV, and the West Virginia coach grew concerned after watching one play against Nevada.

The Wolf Pack sent a cornerback on a blitz and he fired through space and leveled Rebels quarterback Omar Clayton.

“I don’t know how he’s walking,” Stewart said.

That wasn’t what had him worried. It was what happened next and it was particularly perplexing.

“He took just a terrible shot, but it was a legal hit, right when the ball came out,” Stewart said. “He got right up. The next series, he takes them right down the field and takes them into the end zone.”

Well, Clayton is on the injury report with a … well, I’m not able to determine what his ailment is:

Questionable: DE Preston Brooks (foot), QB Omar Clayton (undetermined), DL James Dunlap (arm), LB Starr Fuimaono (foot), FB/LS Anthony White (leg).
