Since people are into and devouring the “Man, maybe I was wrong about that guy” meme, I offer you this. Duke guard Jon Scheyer, he of five 3-pointers Saturday night and the target of, I’m sure, innumerable profanities, made what appeared to be a significant mistake in the celebration.

This was received across the nation that dislikes Duke in pretty much the way you’d expect. That is to say, people were surprised a Dookie could make that error … but people were pretty siked about it.

Well, I’m sorry to tell you this, but Jon Scheyer is a winner. The joke is not on him, but on everyone else, particularly Zach Kelly.

Scheyer played a prank on high school teammate Zach Kelly by tweeting Kelly’s cell phone number to his more than 6,700 followers, who assumed it was Scheyer’s number.

As of Wednesday, Kelly had received more than 2,000 text messages and several hundred calls. Scheyer’s latest tweet begs his fans to stop texting and calling his friend.
