The Sock 'Em, Bust 'Em Board Because that's our custom

Good Friday notes

No Feedback. Time is cramped and the Internet is spotty. Anyhow …

– Truck broke a sweat in the shoot-around, but looked affected by his foot. He was getting intense therapy during the locker room interviews. I, too, would be “shocked” if he played.

– Jon West says his dad is not coming to the game.

– WVU has never played a game in April.

– There will be something like 70,000 people watching tomorrow’s games inside Lucas Oil Stadium. The largest crowd to see a WVU game is 29,077 at the Carrier Dome in 2005.

– West, Joe Mazzulla, Cam Thoroughman, Wellington Smith and Cam Payne were walking down the street Thursday night and bumped into John Beilein. They had nothing but nice things to say about the interaction.

– The lack of NBA talentat this Final Four is historic. Every F4 since the implementation of the draft lottery in 1985 has had at least one top 14 (lottery) pick in the next draft. Every F4 has had at least two top 14 players who were subsequent lottery picks.

– WVU, which hasn’t been very good in Indiana, has had a pretty rough road to get here.

– Duke’s mystique doesn’t much bother the Mountaineers.

– The public likes WVU.

– If this were written yesterday, I wouldn’t have believed it.

– It’s the WVU offense that wears out opponents.
