Huggs embraces schedule

It’s “right up there” with any other one he’s had before. The 2009-10 schedule features some pretty neat numbers:

– between eight and 10 games (depending on the 76 Classic brackets) against teams ranked in the final coaches’ poll

– at least 15 games on television (and more with the Big East Tournament)

– three of ESPN’s nine Big Monday’s and three of CBS’s nine slots given to Big East games.

– seven of the 44 ESPN/ESPN2 Big East conference games

no wonder.

“That’s what you work to be able to do, to put yourself in positions like that,” Huggins said. “I haven’t read any preseason things, but I’ve got to think that Da’Sean (Butler) and Devin (Ebanks) have to be as good a pair of forwards as there are on any team in the country.

“And I know the TV people have always said that the viewers like the way we play and like how hard the guys play the style we play.”
