Texts from Game Day
September 7, 2009 by Mike CasazzaTwas a success! Here they are, presented in a barely edited and totally anonymous and chronological order. My edits come in [brackets].
(11:59 AM): Walking in next to [athletes] etc…suffice to say they’re loud and drunk
(12:02 PM): Literally then were standing in some sort of circle w/ [athlete] in the middle doing some sort of dance…right outside the entrance
(12:03 PM): Glad this “new dawn” and “new day” brings malfunctionong jumbo trons and ribbon screens.
(12:21 PM): It’s safe to say that today’s announcers – John Sanders and Rene Nadeau – are drunk. They were just shocked that Liberty would be going for it on third down.
(12:22 PM): The poets debut …. Hrm.
(12:29 PM): At this point I could avg 30 yds per kickoff return against the mountaineers…I run roughly a 5.5 40
(12:47 PM): We’re about an hour from me openly rooting for liberty
(12:47 PM): Jebus is clearly for liberty today.
(12:49 PM): I think ill go home at halftime and get a red tshirt.
(12:52 PM): 10-10 with 12:48 to go…didn’t know we were in a bowl game already
(1:00 PM): God bless pat white but I feel so much more confident when brown drops back to pass. I think everyone held their breathe with every throw Pat ever made.
(1:02 PM): I will say it again. Why dont we just kick it out of bounds and give it to them at the 35 everytime?
(1:19 PM): Mike Brown continues to be a pain in WVU’s ass.
(1:22 PM): This is embarrassing. Our kicker can’t get it to the 15 and then our coverage looks every bit as bad as last year. Who is coaching the special teams?
(1:33 PM): Did the crowd really just cheer because the kick went out of bounds??? Are special teams THAT bad?? That’s…wow…
(1:41 PM): eersports.com reports WVU having its way with liberty…
(2:07 PM): Maybe the limited number of ECU tickets that just became available are from fans who just gave them up after watching us give up on 4th and 1 against LIBERTY!!!
(2:22 PM): Brandon Hogan is a lock to play for the Green Bay Packers with that hair.
(2:46 PM): Christopher walken can go [hurt] himself. Im not making any more noise for this D.
(2:47 PM): Just once Id like for the offense and defense to sing off the same sheet of music.
(3:03 PM): Is Logan Heastie watching the game with Tevita Finau or something? Was he expelled from school? Is he in witness protection?
(2:55 PM): Durst just did 33 full pushups! Woo!
(3:03 PM): Wvu STILL cant handle Mike Brown! -doesnt sound like a great start 4 stew & co.
(3:12 PM): If given the choice again, wvu might choose death
(4:34 PM): Stewart on brown’s TD run (i’m dead serious): that long-legged boy can get!
(5:13 PM): You have to feel good about 2009
