Talking points
April 6, 2009 by Mike Casazza… from the weekend that was. For your use in elevator rides, trips to the water cooler and other awkward moments on a Monday. Sponsored by “One Step From Advertising on craigslist.“
– Sweep!
– Morris marches on.
– A “tough, tough day” for the offense in Saturday’s scrimmage.
– Pat White is on a farewell tour.
– Rowing gets a historic first.
– A few notes from today’s 6 a.m. practice …
Eugene Smith was in attendance. He’s tall and pretty lean. Can’t tell you much else because NCAA rules forbid media from talking to him while he’s on campus. … Linebacker Najee Good has was out with an ankle and tight end Tyler Rader has a “hyperextended” knee that could be more serious. WVU won’t know until swelling goes down. Safety Sidney Glover is still out with a hamstring and a shoulder. … Robert Sands keeps moving between free and bandit safety. He also has six percent body fat. … Receivers Brad Starks and Alric Arnett are making strides on the outside and Wes Lyons is playing with a lot of confidence in the slot, where he just mauls people. … Eddie Davis remains the favorite to start at cornerback with Brandon Hogan. An interception helped his cause Monday. … Oll Shondell wouldn’t tell me what song he heard on the radio this morning. He actually told me to check Twitter later.
