The Sock 'Em, Bust 'Em Board Because that's our custom

Here come the predictions!

Truck Bryant:

“We’re at the point now where we need to win games,” WVU freshman point guard Truck Bryant said. “We’re going to play and we’re going to win and we’re going to get to the NCAA Tournament.

“They can chant NIT. It’s Pitt and we’re here. It’s a rivalry game and that’s something they can do, but we’re going to win the next couple of games. We’ve got to.”

Let’s just say, for the sake of discussion, WVU goes 4-3, beats Villanova, Notre Dame, Rutgers and DePaul and loses to Cincinnati, South Florida and Louisville (please don’t hold me to that … this is just a hypothetical). The current RPI and strength of schedule numbers aren’t going to change all that much and WVU is going to have a top 20 RPI and top 10 SOS, or something similar, with a 20-11 record. Can you leave that team out of the NCAAs?

As it is, the schedule unfolds rather nicely. The toughest games are at home and the roadies are against the bottom of the league. Start with four wins in the final seven and anything beyond that is further justification for inclusion.
