West Virginia Public Radio’s “Mountain Stage” has just announced five more shows for this fall, boasting (as usual) some of America’s best bands.
The show still plans to add a few extra acts to these shows, but here’s the list so far:
- Oct.5 — The Duhks, Blake Mills, Jill Barber
- Oct. 12 — Shovels and Rope, Kat Edmonson, San Fermin
- Oct. 19 — Todd Snider, Elizabeth Cook
- Oct. 26 — Kate Miller-Heidke
- Nov. 2 — James McMurtry, Lily & Madeleine
Each of the shows begin at 7 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) and tickets are $15 in advance or $25 at the door.
Tickets go on sale Monday, Aug. 4.
Also, for the first time, Mountain Stage will sell a special ticket package offering admission to all five shows for the price of four tickets ($60).
“We’re encouraging folks , even if they can’t come (to every show), to give their ticket to a friend,” executive producer Adam Harris said.
I’m particularly excited for the Oct. 12 and 19 shows…too bad they’re two months away. To get us all through, here’s a video of Mountain Stage host Larry Groce singing with Todd Snider on his song “Welfare Music.”
