At 10 PM spend some time taking in the music In The Round with Jeremy Roberts, Sean Whiting and Pete Kosky at the Empty Glass. This is three great singer/songwriters taking turns and playing off of one another in an intimate setting where you can really appreciate the music. It’s only three bucks to get in.
FRIDAY JULY 29
Live at the Levee at 6:30 PM features A Story Told as the headliner. Hurl Brickbat will be opening right at 6:30 pm and these guys are really great. You can hear a sample of Hurl Brickbat in the audio version of STUFF TO DO posted above.

Time And Distance, Swiss Army (PA), and Youth will be at The Blue Parrot 9 PM Friday, July 29. Five bucks gets you to witness three great bands. You can hear some Time And Distance in the audio link above.
SATURDAY JULY 30
Starting a 9 AM, Hillbilly Toy Chest, located at 878 E. Main Street in Milton, will be celebrating their first year in their cool new location. This will be an all day long party so that you can help them celebrate an official year of toy/comic/card awesomeness. There will be special deals, like 30% off your entire purchase; 1$ Modern Back Issues and 50% off Trades and Graphic Novels. And at 2 PM, Ghostubsters WV Division will be on hand to hunt for poltergiests and such.
At 10 AM there will be a Wanda Petunia meet-up at Taylor Books on Capitol Street in Charleston, Want to practice more self-care? Want to love yourself more? Want to share love? Join Amy Williams and her porcine friend Wanda Petunia on an amazing self-love journey.
Sponsored by West Virginia State University (WVSU) and the West Virginia Symphony Orchestra (WVSO), the “Orchestra of the Hills” will perform a benefit concert on Saturday, July 30, at 4:30 p.m. at Haddad Riverfront Park in Charleston.
While admission to the performance is free, donations are being accepted. Donations benefit high school music departments affected by the June 23, 2016 flood, including Herbert Hoover High School in Kanawha County, Richwood High School in Nicholas County, and Greenbrier East High School in Greenbrier County.
Saturday at 7 PM Big Planet Soul will be playing at Fireside Grille in Teays Valley.
There will be a free concert/movie night Saturday July 30th at SA Roadside Park. The concert will start around 8pm. Jim Snyder and friends will be playing music followed by a FREE MOVIE starting around 9. We will be showing the movie Zootopia. So bring a lawn chair or blanket and come over and enjoy some free entertainment down by the river.
