The Creeps

I wrote about The Creeps a few months ago, and there’s some great news. This tribute to the Warren horror comics of days gone by has increased its frequency to four times a year, from two, and a new issue is due out by the end of June. In fact, if you order it before June 15, you can get a poster of the Frank Frazetta cover, seen at the head of this post, for free. Just follow this link. You can also subscribe. It’s really cool to see a nice retro horror comic magazine thrive.

Charlton Neo

Next Thursday I will bring you a full update on the happenings with the Charlton Neo movement, but until then, why don’t you check out this preview of a new comic strip that they’re adding to the Pix-C weekly webcomics. If you support Charlton Neo through Patreon, for as little as a dollar a week, you get access to a dozen great comic strips by some of the most dedicated creators in comics.

The preview–it’s the latest addition to Pix-C, is a revival of the Charlton martial arts series, Yang, written by Roger McKenzie and drawn by Ben Torres. Here’s a teaser image…

Hillbilly Toy Chest in Milton is expanding across the parking lot and opening a gaming and activity center. We’re big fans of Hillbilly Toy Chest and it’s cool to see them expanding and bringing more pop culture goodness to an underserved part of the state. This really cool thing happens tomorrow. Check out the events…

That’s it for this week’s PopCulteer. Your humble correspndent is still dealing with a not-so-humble angry God of a sinus headache. Yet, our regular feature should all turn up in their regular spots. Thanks for reading.
