It’s not all about crass commercialism and maxing out your credit cards today. There’s plenty of Art and Music for you to soothe your soul after you venture forth into the world of naked capitalism. Let us show you…
Beyond The Margin
One of the coolest parts of today’s Black Friday ArtWalk will be Beyond The Margin, a show spanning two galleries, Apartment Earth and Good News Mountaineer Garage Gallery, and running from 5 PM to 8 PM this evening. Good News Mountaineer Garage Gallery is right in the middle of Hale Street, next to Stray Dog Antiques, while Apartment Earth is in the alley behind the GNMG.
Himes and Allen bring their free jaz to Taylor Books, starting at 7:30 PM. Family-friendly stand-up will be on tap with no cover at 4 Brothers Coffee and Tea House at 78 Olde Main Plaza in Saint Albans tonight. Enjoy the holidays with the joy of laughter for this FREE, ALL AGES event featuring some of the Kanawha Valley’s most talented comic voices:Jacob Hall, Lynn Browder, Jim Bob Williams, Hassan, Ms. Hooker, Jaush Weeks and Patrick “Madman” Felton. The night will be hosted by Mr West Virginia himself, Ryan Carrier.
Not Free Events
At The Empty Glass, Freaktent Jr and Marium Bria provide the music, starting at 10 PM. The cover charge has not been announced, but is likely somewhere around five or seven bucks. Another “make Rudy guess the cover” show is happening at the Boulevard Tavern at 10 PM, as Tastes Like Chicken take the state with John Gaspar.
