FestivAll Photo Essay: People

It's CASI*Okay, we’re going to do this in two parts.  Today I’m posting photos of some of the folks I ran into during FestivAll last week.  Tomorrow I’ll post some of the art.

To the right, you see Casi Null performing with Punk Jazz.  You’ll see more pictures of Punk Jazz below, and you’ll see them on a future episode of RFC or two.  But if you want to see them live, you only have one more chance on July 17 at The Empty Glass.  I’ll tell you more about that as the day approaches.

After the jump there are tons of pictures of folks we saw last week, enjoy! You may even be one of them.

Mandy Petry, seen recently in Kanawha Players productions of The Crucible and Harvey, showing off her cool handmade chess set and wall-mounted bagetelle-styled art under the Allied Artists Tent.

RFC Guests Raymond Wallace and T.J. King hamming it up on Capitol Street.

Raymond made it a point to meet Rom Neve Bellydancer (and Sunday Gazette-Mail cover girl) Jennifer Smith.

T.J. also wanted to meet Jennifer.

Mountain Stage guru and FestivAll’s daddy, Larry Groce.

The Prophet, Eli Namay, from Punk Jazz.

Jimmy Holly, Punk Jazz’s man behind the skins.

Punk Jazz again, Casi in the foreground, Eli in the background.

The cunning mastermind behind Punk Jazz, Chuck Biel.

The world-famous “Man With A Gourd.”

Bob Coffield, founding member of Charleston Area Bloggers and author of The Healthcare Law Blog, taking a call at the Calligraphy table under the tent.

Enormous Peanut.

Mountain Stage mainstay and Open Mic Maestro, Ron Sowell.

Eduardo from Duo Divertido. You can catch Duo Divertido on July 4 at Taylor Books.

Beth from Duo Divertido, with Stilt Woman in the background.

Finally, we have Al Peery, from Comparsa and Blues Du Jour.

Check back tomorrow for part two of the FestivAll Photo essay, the ART!
