Plugged In

I’m not ashamed to say that “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2” is one of my most-anticipated games of the fall release season. The original “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes” remains one of my favorite games of last generation and is hands-down the title my kids and I spent the most time playing together.

And “LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2” looks like the bigger, better sequel we’ve been waiting on for years.

In addition to unveiling a new story trailer recently at New York Comic Con, publisher Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced what players can expect in the way of DLC and the obligatory Season Pass.

Six Level Packs and four Character Packs will be released post-launch and are included in the Season Pass. The Level Packs are based on the latest Marvel films (Guardians of the Galaxy 2, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War,  and Ant-Man and The Wasp) and television series (Cloak & Dagger and The Runaways). The Character Packs will add more than 60 playable characters to an already huge roster that totals over 200 heroes and villains. These packs include Agents of Atlas, Champions, Out of Time and classic Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Season Pass will cost $14.99. It is also included in the Deluxe Edition of the game, which also contains the main game, early access to the classic Guardians of the Galaxy Character Pack and an exclusive Giant-Man LEGO mini-fig (in the physical version only) for $74.99.

“LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2” launches Nov. 14 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.
