‘Call of Duty: WWII’ story trailer released

Activision has pulled back the curtain on the single-player campaign in “Call of Duty: WWII.”

The story trailer, available above, appears heavily influenced by the likes of “Band of Brothers” and “Saving Private Ryan,” framing the action around the experiences of a lone soldier, Private Ronald “Red” Daniels, a young recruit in the U.S. First Infantry Division.

After playing the multiplayer beta, my hype meter was pretty high for the next installment of the “Call of Duty” franchise and this story trailer has only further solidified my already lofty expectations.

“Call of Duty: WWII” launches Nov. 3 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
