One Month At A Time

Wednesday Weigh-In

The progress continues. Happy Easter!

Current weight: 183 pounds.

That feels slightly heavier than I should be.

Starting weight: 253 pounds.

Current goal weight: 175.

Weight medical professionals believe I should be: 144. This is the number of the beast, I’m pretty sure.

Blood pressure: Oops. I forgot to stop in at my local drugstore and get that done. I did, however, buy some Easter candy, which is more rewarding.

My current craving. I want to make an omelet out of these.

Number of times different people have spoken to me about my weight-loss and/or doing CrossFit in the last week: The response on the weight loss is constant. Somebody mentions it every few hours, actually.

Also, I have had one person tell me that I can stop now. He said I was looking a little weak. I was grateful for the concern, but I don’t know if he caught me on a day when I looked particularly tired.

My sleep has been a little off due to allergies and early mornings.

Number of those people who said they couldn’t change their diet or exercise: More advice about how I should try intermittent fasting or stop counting calories and just not eat carbs.

As a side note, I’m looking at finding things I should eat before I workout. I sometimes run out of gas.

Number of people I’ve bored to tears explaining/complaining about my diet, the calorie deficit and exercise: Not as many as last week.

Caffeine: Oh yes.

Cans of diet soda consumed this week: A lot.

Notable fitness accomplishments: Last week, I had all kinds of cool stuff to share. This week, I can’t think of anything really noteworthy.

I’ve reached out to some fitness tracker companies for better gear –and will be making a trip out to Dick’s Sporting Goods to see what kind of stuff they have that might help with my training and fitness goals.

I will also be looking at products for companies I might ask to send me stuff. Who knows? Somebody might bite. In the meantime, I’ve got a new band coming for my Misfit 2 and I’ll try to share the data it collects, though I don’t consider it super accurate.

I have no idea what I was thinking when I got this thing, but you go with what you got, I guess…. sigh.

Days until the Spartan Race in WV: 129 (August 24)

Captain America t-shirt: Not today, but I have one in reserve, just in case.

General outlook: Anxious. I feel a bit on edge. Not sure why.
